Hi! I am Mattia Guerini, Associate Professor of Economics at the Department of Economics and Management of the University of Brescia and Senior Researcher at Fondazione ENI Enrico Mattei (FEEM).
My research focuses on macroeconomic and firm dynamics, with particular attention to technological change, financial dynamics and the green transition. I work on these topics using both agent-based models and applied econometric methods, often exploiting firm-level micro-data.
More recently, my research has investigated issues related to firms’ adoption of digital and green technologies, the interaction between financial constraints and environmental performance, inflation dynamics, and the transmission of shocks across firms, sectors and regions.
My work combines theoretical and empirical approaches, with the aim of understanding how heterogeneous firms and institutions shape aggregate economic dynamics.
